    Lighthouse offers a range of features to support nonprofit organizations, including: Nonprofit Profiles: Create a personalized profile to showcase your organization's mission, programs, and opportunities for community involvement. Resource Exchange: Access a marketplace for sharing surplus resources, from office supplies to expertise, fostering a culture of collaboration and support. Advice Column: Share wisdom, seek guidance, and learn from fellow nonprofits in a supportive and knowledge-sharing environment. Community Calendar: Stay informed about key events, workshops, and networking opportunities within the nonprofit sector, ensuring you're always in sync with your community.
  • Where is Lighthouse available?
    Lighthouse is launching by location, starting with nonprofits in the Denver-Metro area first. If you're located outside of Denver, we encourage you to join our mailing list to stay updated on our expansion plans and be notified when Lighthouse becomes available in your area. Additionally, we will use our waitlist to establish demand and determine the next places to launch, ensuring we prioritize areas where there is significant interest and need.
  • Is Lighthouse free to use?
    Lighthouse offers both free and premium membership options for nonprofit organizations. While basic features are available to all users, premium membership unlocks additional benefits and enhanced features. Visit our Pricing page for more information on membership options.
  • Is Lighthouse only for nonprofits?
    Yes, at this time the features of Lighthouse are designed exclusively for nonprofit organizations. That being said, we have BIG plans! Whether you are an employee at a government municipality or for-profit company, a social impact consultant or a local community member eager to more easily connect with nonprofit organizations, we are eager to connect!     Yes, absolutely! We welcome donations from individuals like yourself who want to contribute to the nonprofit community.     Getting started with Lighthouse is easy! Simply sign up for a nonprofit profile using our intuitive registration process. Once registered, you can start exploring the platform, connecting with other nonprofits, and leveraging our suite of features to support your organization's mission.
  • What email should I use to create my Lighthouse account for my organization?
    We suggest using the email directly connected to the employee who will oversee the account. This email will receive updates and notifications, so it's best to use an email address that the employee actively checks.
  • How can I connect with other nonprofit organizations on Lighthouse?
    Lighthouse provides various avenues for connecting with other nonprofits, including: Browsing and discovering nonprofit profiles based on shared interests and missions. Following a fellow Nonprofit's Lighthouse page to be notified when they make updates Participating in the Resource Exchange marketplace to share, request, and claim resources Engaging with the Bulletin Board to seek guidance, share expertise, and learn from peers. Staying informed about community events and networking opportunities through the Event Calendar.
  • How does the Resource Exchange work?
    The Resource Exchange on Lighthouse enables organizations to share, redistribute, and request resources within the community. All nonprofit's on Lighthouse can upload surplus resources that they no longer need, such as in-kind items, which can then be redistributed to other organizations in need. Currently, all resources offered through the exchange are provided free of charge. However, claiming available resources and requesting specific resources are premium features available only to premium profile users.
  • How does the Bulletin Board work?
    The Bulletin Board is your go-to hub for posting updates, seeking advice, and sharing educational content within the Lighthouse community. It serves as the primary platform for cultivating connections, learning, and fostering collaboration among organizations. Whether you're looking to share insights, ask questions, or stay informed, the Bulletin Board is where meaningful engagement begins on Lighthouse.
  • How does the Event Calendar function?
    The Event Calendar is the central resource for discovering both internal nonprofit events and outward-facing public programs, including galas and fundraisers. It's your one-stop destination for staying informed about upcoming activities within your local nonprofit community. Please note that posting events on the calendar is a premium feature available exclusively to premium organizations.
  • How does the Messaging Feature work?
    The Messaging Feature provides direct access to initiate conversations with employees within the nonprofits on the platform, facilitating meaningful connections. For organizations that have struggled to identify nonprofit employees' emails or best contact methods, Lighthouse offers a simple, warm introduction. Please note that full access to this feature is exclusive to premium users while basic members have limited access to this feature.
  • Can I update my profile after I initially set it up?
    Yes, we encourage you to keep your profile updated for optimal engagement. From your "Dashboard," navigate to your nonprofit profile by clicking "Manage My Org." Once there, locate the "Edit My Org" button in the upper right-hand corner, click it, and ensure your profile is current.
  • Can I add information about the programs that my organization offers?
    Yes, you can include specific programs your organization offers. From your "Dashboard," navigate to your nonprofit profile by clicking "Manage My Org." Once there, you will see various tabs. The default tab you land on is "Details," which outlines your mission, who you serve, and your service area. Next to the "Details" tab, you'll find a "Programs" tab. Click on that, and you can add as many programs as you'd like!
